Cardiac RMS is recognized for its outstanding connectivity rates and commitment to delivering the highest quality of care by putting Patients First. Behind these achievements, however, are the remarkable individuals whose dedication makes it all possible.
To celebrate these contributions, Cardiac RMS has launched Everyday Excellence—a series that spotlights the employees who embody the heart of the company. Whether they work directly with patients, support their colleagues, or ensure operations run smoothly, their efforts deserve recognition.
The program encourages employees to nominate themselves or others who exemplify pride in their work, care for patients, and commitment to the Cardiac RMS mission. Everyday Excellence isn’t about being flashy—it’s about honoring the quiet strength and consistent dedication that too often goes unrecognized.
On this page we share some of the remarkable employees who have been selected for our Everyday Excellence program. We’re proud to have these dedicated team members on board. Congratulations on being recognized as a standout employee; your dedication and hard work have set a remarkable example!
The next employee to be recognized is Dawn Butler, an Associate Manager of Patient Engagement since January 2025. Dawn has been with Cardiac RMS since 2022.
Dawn shared that what she values most is ensuring patients are well taken care of. She especially enjoys stepping in to help new or struggling clinics and teaching others how to provide strong patient support.
Dawn told us that, “Transitioning into management was initially outside my comfort zone, but with Cadee and Marissa’s mentorship, I’ve grown into the role and found purpose in helping others succeed. And having the opportunity to learn how all the parts of the company fit together, including gaining insight into other departments’ roles.”
Dawn’s team boasts a compliance rate consistently over 95%, a statistic she takes great pride in. She said, “That kind of performance takes focus and teamwork. I want every PES to feel equipped, so I’m constantly building tools, training, and checklists to support them.”
When asked about what makes Cardiac RMS so special to her, she commented, “Cardiac RMS really lives its mission of putting patients first. Whether it’s helping them connect their monitor or just giving peace of mind, we work hard every day to make sure no one feels alone.”
As far as leadership is concerned, Dawn said, “Leadership isn’t about being in charge-it’s about listening, setting examples, mentoring, and lifting others up. That’s what I try to bring to my team every day.”
That’s what sets Dawn apart-her commitment to patients, a collaborative spirit, and a leadership style rooted in support and empathy. We’re proud to have employees like Dawn on our team. Stay tuned as we continue to highlight the people who make Cardiac RMS a truly special place to work.
As we continue our Everyday Excellence program to acknowledge the team members who go above and beyond, we recognize Tiffany Chatman, a Patient Engagement Coordinator who has been with Cardiac RMS since February 2023.
Tiffany works primarily with clinics such as Pacific Heart Institute and UMMC, with a special connection to Pacific Heart patients. “I find deep joy in building relationships with the patients. Many recognize my voice immediately when I call, even greeting me by name before I get to say anything,” Tiffany told us, and while she is calling to check on them for Patient Engagement Coordinator medical reasons, her ‘regulars’-as she calls them-want to discuss gardening, travel, and favorite TV shows.
Though new to remote monitoring, Tiffany has a strong clinical background as a telemetry technician and Holter/event monitor tech. She has successfully transitioned into the remote environment, even leading onboarding for UMMC-a major accomplishment for her. “UMMC was the first clinic I onboarded, and Cadee really helped me through that. I was proud to lead that process.”
Tiffany’s approach to care is all about patience, empathy, and education, especially with elderly or anxious patients who feel a little uncertain about their monitor connections. She provides reassurance and walks them through processes calmly and thoroughly, helping them feel supported and not alone. She said, “Putting patients first means making sure you take care of them, so they don’t have to worry so much. It’s not about rushing through. Some patients are worried or don’t understand the process, so I take the time to explain it slowly and patiently.”
Tiffany explained that she feels well supported by her team, praising Cadee Pelyak for her mentorship, availability, and kindness during training and clinic onboarding. “I feel like I can talk to her about anything. She gives solid advice and helps me with everything. Nobody makes you feel bad for asking questions. Most of the time, five other people will say, ‘Oh, I didn’t know that either!”‘
Based in Alabama, Tiffany is a devoted mom whose children are now entering or returning to college. With her youngest still at home, she’s embracing more social time with her girlfriends. She and her family try to have monthly family outings where they enjoy lots of different sports together – that helps her stay connected and energized. Tiffany ended with, “We’ll have a family game, baseball, basketball, or football; just try to hang out with each other since the kids are getting older. And it’s always fun to have activities, it makes some great memories.”
Jodi thrives on solving complex cardiac cases and takes great pride in her ability to think critically, even under pressure. She continued, “I never forget why I’m doing this. Even when I’m running behind or staring at squiggly lines all day-I’m thinking through what’s best for the patient, which keeps me going.”
As we continue our Everyday Excellence program to recognize the team members who go above and beyond, we recognize Jodi Guinasso-Minton, CDRMS, Patient Care Specialist, a valuable CIED Remote Monitoring Team member. She has been working at Cardiac RMS for three years, and this week is her anniversary.
Jodi thrives on solving complex cardiac cases and takes great pride in her ability to think critically, even under pressure. Her deep understanding of cardiology, especially the electrophysiology side, grew from an initial hesitation to a full-blown passion. “The minute I saw electrophysiology and learned about the electrical system, I was intrigued coming from a ‘plumbing‘ background – I loved it.“, said Jodi at our interview.
Her love for the science behind cardiology fuels her drive and keeps her engaged. She’s especially excited by how remote monitoring continues to evolve and how her role directly impacts patient safety. She commented, “I like the idea of our patient–first focus–that’s why I came here from a hospital setting. There is a huge emphasis on the patient. Patient–first isn’t a slogan–it’s the only way I work.”
Jodi Guinasso-Minton, CDRMS Patient Care Specialist
She values the company’s commitment to teamwork, small-company feel, and patient-centered values. Jodi also deeply appreciates the team dynamic and open communication culture. “I could reach out to anybody, ask a question, and feel perfectly comfortable. Everyone gets along fabulously.”
“I’m proud of how much I’ve learned. I didn’t have a programming background, but I’ve pushed myself to understand everything I could–because not knowing is not an option for me,” Jodi emphasized.
Jodi remains fiercely committed to accuracy and quality: “I block out the background noise. I look at every rhythm, every report, and I think. I will not stop thinking and trying to figure it out—even if it takes me five more minutes. I know I’ve saved lives here-so I just keep doing what I do.”
Jodi’s unwavering commitment to putting patients first, her drive to keep learning and growing every day, and her attention to detail embody the core values of Cardiac RMS. We’re proud to have dedicated team members like Jodi on board. Stay tuned as we continue celebrating the people who make Cardiac RMS a meaningful and inspiring workplace.
We recognize Brooke Jonson, CCDS, CRAT and CIED Team Coordinator. Brooke stands out not just for her technical contributions but for the care and perspective she brings to her role at Cardiac RMS. Her dedication to collaboration, her growth mindset, and her ability to center patients in her work make her a valued part of the team.
“The thing I love most about working at Cardiac RMS is the environment,” Brooke emphasized, and while the remote nature of her work could be replicated elsewhere, “What sets this company apart is the team dynamic that I’ve stepped into. Everybody is willing to jump in and help. Everyone’s just very much team-oriented-here to support one another.”
Brooke’s journey has been shaped by stepping outside her comfort zone. “I’ve gone for roles that intimidated me … and I ended up getting a promotion into one of those roles. I feel supported, I feel mentored.” She credits the supportive environment at Cardiac RMS for allowing her to grow.
When faced with a completely new platform, zero training resources, and a clinic backlog, Brooke didn’t just learn on the fly-she built a guide that’s now helping others onboard successfully. She shared, ”As I learned the platform, I created a platform user manual that would guide new users coming to that platform without experience.”
“Supportive and welcoming,” are the two words Brooke uses to describe the Cardiac RMS culture. Whether it’s giving feedback, taking time off without guilt, or simply knowing your team has your back, she sees the workplace as one where people truly look out for each other.
Brooke brings a deeply human approach to remote monitoring and says, “It’s easy to forget that there’s a patient behind the report. But I always remind myself-this could be your grandma. It may take more time, but it’s worth it.”
Brooke is a proud mom of two-her six-year-old son and three-year-old daughter. “I log out and jump right into mom mode. This is such a fun age … I try to be present with them and enjoy the special moments.”
Whether it’s spending time in South Dakota, soaking up music, or navigating the joyful chaos of parenting, Brooke finds grounding in family.
Today we recognize Roya Lisboa, LPN, CORMS, a Patient Care Specialist, who has been an integral part of Cardiac RMS since February 2022, primarily supporting the PeaceHealth clinics.
With over two decades of cardiology experience, Roya brings deep expertise and a strong commitment to patient care. ‘‘At the end of the day,” she shared, “it’s really just coming together with the common goal of being able to serve patients and just being the frontline if some abnormal arrhythmia occurs.”
Her role involves monitoring alerts, reviewing reports, and serving as a critical liaison between patients and clinics, ensuring potentially life-threatening conditions are flagged quickly and accurately.
Roya is particularly proud of her team and the collaborative spirit at Cardiac RMS. “I like the fact that we always show up just to help and support one another,” she said. One case stood out when she noticed something in a patient report that even the emergency room missed. “They told me, ‘Roya caught this,”‘ she recalled. “It was great to know the feedback and that it made a difference.”
Beyond the clinical work, Roya values the team culture. “Even though we’re remote, there’s still that connection. I really love my team-they’re so talented and supportive.” She appreciates the mutual respect and open communication that define Cardiac RMS. “I’ve had nothing but great rapport with leadership. That’s one of the reasons why I show up-it’s pleasant.”
Roya is also proactive in improving processes, such as streamlining weekend alert triage and flagging devices with critical alerts turned off. “It’s not about sticking to the script,” she explained. “You have to think outside the box-what can we do to better support the clinics and patients?”
Outside of work, Roya recently graduated from nursing school with honors and passed her NCLEX exam. She’s now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing while balancing life in Kansas with her twin nine-year-old boys. She enjoys early morning water aerobics, swimming with her family, and visiting the zoo. A recent highlight: attending The Lion King on Broadway in Kansas City. “I think I cried more than my kids,” she laughed.
Roya’s passion for cardiology, her thoughtful approach to care, and her drive to keep learning and improving make her a vital part of the Cardiac RMS team. “I’ve always had a passion for patient care-that’s what makes it easy to show up and do what we do.”
Our first nominated employee is Troy Muffler, CCDS, a Patient Care Specialist who’s been with Cardiac RMS for four years. Troy values the flexibility his role offers—but what really stands out is his deep commitment to collaboration and patient safety.
From helping resolve urgent patient situations at 5 AM to mentoring new hires, Troy exemplifies the spirit of Cardiac RMS. He shared: “In four years, I’ve never been told to ‘go faster’ or do anything that would compromise patient care. I am proud to work for an organization where patient care is a top priority.”
Troy also credits the company’s responsiveness and culture of learning: “As a preceptor, I work with new employees who ask great questions—and sometimes, they teach me just as much as I teach them. That kind of exchange keeps us all sharp.”
Working remotely has taught Troy the importance of clarity in communication. His takeaway? “You have to be concise and direct when messaging clinics—there’s no room for wasted time when patients are depending on us.”
As we continue our Everyday Excellence program to acknowledge the team members who go above and beyond, we recognize Cadee Pelyak, an Associate Manager of Patient Engagement. Cadee has been with Cardiac RMS for three years, starting as a Patient Engagement Specialist and quickly moving into the role of Associate Manager.
“We grew so rapidly that it’s hard to believe. When the associate manager position opened after just six months, I was encouraged to go for it-and it was the best thing I’ve done,” said Cadee.
Since joining, she has watched the company grow exponentially but says one thing has remained constant: “Patients first. I pride myself and our department on that. At the end of the day, that’s what matters most.” She leads a team known for its compassion and calm approach-especially with older patients navigating remote monitoring technology. “Sometimes patients will purposely disconnect their monitors just to talk to us,” she said. “That speaks volumes.”
One of Cadee’s proudest achievements has been streamlining the department’s scheduling workflow. She shared, “Before, it was all over the place. Now we have a consistent 10-day pre-date-of-service system, and we’re not guessing anymore. It’s helping both the team and the clinics.”
Cadee also helped implement a performance auditing tool that supports team accountability while maintaining a culture of encouragement. “We didn’t want it to feel like micromanaging. The tool helps us give feedback in a way that’s constructive, not critical,” she explained. “It makes those harder conversations easier and promotes consistency.”
But what Cadee values most is the strength of her team. “We just don’t forget who our people are,” she said. “There’s not a day that goes by when I can’t call someone and say, ‘Can you jump on and troubleshoot this with me?’ We value each other’s opinions. Even if we disagree, we talk it out.”
She credits Cardiac RMS’s supportive culture for making remote work feel genuinely connected. “We’re closer in a remote environment than I’ve ever been in a brick-and-mortar job. Everyone has a voice, and we listen. That teamwork-it’s real.”
As we continue our Everyday Excellence program to acknowledge team members who go above and beyond, we recognize Amanda Poindexter, an Associate Manager at Cardiac RMS, who celebrated her one-year anniversary with the company (September 30, 2025).
In her first year, she has made a significant impact, especially with initiatives like Heart Plus and cross-department collaboration. Known for her ability to connect people, solve problems, and foster a culture of support, Amanda exemplifies the values that Cardiac RMS stands for-teamwork, growth, and compassionate patient care.
Amanda finds immense value in the teamwork, mutual respect, and shared dedication to patient care that define the culture at Cardiac RMS. She thrives in an environment where she’s supported by peers and leadership alike and appreciates how her voice and ideas are not only heard but welcomed.
Amanda commented, “My coworkers are my greatest resources, I can reach out to anyone for anything…makes me more efficient for my job and for my team! It’s an amazing organization. We get in the same room and just start brainstorming together on projects. That’s powerful.”
Amanda emphasizes that true patient-centered care comes from collaboration and team-based accountability. She believes that the company’s approach-prioritizing quality over speed-allows her team to focus on what truly matters. She said, “We don’t have the pressure of speed on our team-and that keeps the focus on patient care. This ensures each patient’s transmission is triaged and acted on with care and urgency”
Amanda is especially proud of her work on the Heart Plus initiative, a project she helped evolve using insights and relationships from her past roles. She described it as “bringing all the favorite aspects of my job together” and a major point of personal and professional growth-particularly in learning how to onboard and manage new platforms.
She describes Cardiac RMS as a place where positivity, humility, and adaptability thrive. She appreciates how her coworkers support each other and prioritize collaboration over competition. “My coworkers support me daily…I enjoy going above and beyond, but it’s not ‘oh look at Amanda,’ it’s ‘go Amanda!’ and how we can help each other to succeed. I am particularly grateful for Mary Beth Sop’s mentorship; she is a piece of my rock and Kelly Austin – always ready to provide guidance and support!”
Amanda thrives on learning and said, “I love to learn. I would live in college if I could.”She values management training and collaboration with peers and sees immense benefit in learning from others’ perspectives and experiences.
Outside of work, Amanda is a dedicated mom and grandmother who enjoys morning routines, cooking new meals, and spending time outdoors through camping and paddleboarding in Arizona. Her early start schedule aligns well with Eastern time, allowing her to balance work and family seamlessly.
This month we recognize Kelsie Robinson, Customer Development Operations Manager, who embodies the spirit of Everyday Excellence at Cardiac RMS. Over her 2.5 years with the company, she’s gone from transmission review as a PCS (Patient Care Specialist) to managing Customer Development Operations-all while growing professionally and personally.
Kelsie commented, “What I love most about my role at Cardiac RMS is the people I get to work with every day. Our team is incredibly supportive and dedicated, and that makes the busiest days very enjoyable and rewarding.”
She thrives on collaboration and finds purpose in the behind-the-scenes work that drives the organization. Her attention to detail and creative flair help create memorable experiences for both team members and clients.
“I’m especially proud of the recent work planning and coordinating our events at HRX and supporting our sales team… handling everything from the logistics to operations-it’s both challenging and incredibly fulfilling,” Kelsie noted.
Kelsie’s journey has been defined by confidence, courage, and continuous evolution. She shared, “Starting as a PCS… and then growing into the Customer Development Operations Manager role in less than a year taught me to step outside of that comfort zone, get comfortable, get confident… push that envelope.”
With encouragement from mentors and peers, she’s learned to speak up, lead, and believe in her own voice lessons that have extended into her personal life, too. “I would describe our culture as inclusive, happy, well rounded, and supportive.”
She emphasized how a strong leadership team, open communication, and a mission-driven environment empower everyone to grow. “Our shared mission and our commitment to putting patients first continually inspire me to make that meaningful movement every day,” she stated. Kelsie sees her contributions as directly tied to patient care, and that purpose drives her.
To unwind, Kelsie enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, motorcycle rides, fishing, DIY projects, and the occasional high-risk power tool experiment while her husband’s away-adding, humorously: “After sitting at a computer all day, you need a little danger in your life, right?”
As we continue our Everyday Excellence program to acknowledge the team members who go above and beyond, we recognize Tracey Stein who has been a valued Patient Engagement Specialist (PES) at Cardiac RMS since April 2022, bringing warmth, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose to her role.
Based in Canfield, Ohio, she supports West Coast clinics and carefully plans her mornings around time zone differences. “I try to work on the scheduling, like in the morning as much as I can,” she explains. “So I don’t waste my time during my calling hours.”
A former dental hygienist, Tracey brings strong communication skills and a warm presence to her role. “I like talking with the patients. That’s my favorite part,” she says. “Most of them are very sweet. The older, the better-they’re just so sweet. And some of the stuff they say is just awesome.” She’s proud of the relationships she’s built, even beyond assigned clinics. “I still have patients that call me from other clinics that I’ve worked on … That’s kind of neat.”
Tracey is proud of the culture at Cardiac RMS and the camaraderie within her department. “I think it’s very inclusive. We have a good relationship with one another,” she shared. “We have our work chat, which is very professional, and we also have a little chitchat where we can ask each other questions, or talk about what we’re cooking for dinner, or share funny stories from patients.” That blend of professionalism and personal connection helps her feel part of a tight knit and supportive team.
When asked what “putting patients first” means, Tracey emphasized timeliness and care. ”Anytime you get a return phone call or the clinic asks you to do something-like get a transmission-you do it in a timely manner,”she explains. “It could be someone’s life.”
Outside of work, Tracey loves staying active and getting outdoors. “I like to do anything that gets me out of the house,” she says with a laugh. “Now it’s like, I can’t wait to get out of here sometimes.” She enjoys walking local trails or circling her condo’s loop with her dog. “Every night after work, my dog is like, ‘Let’s go do something, please!”‘
