I feel good about tracking my blood pressure with Cardiac RMS. The cuff is very easy to use and the readings automatically transmit to Cardiac RMS. I am so at ease that someone is watching and if something is wrong they will tell my doctor. Karen, from Cardiac RMS, makes me feel secure and connected as I now manage the hypertension I was experiencing.

Pat D., Hypertension Patient

Before we began using Cardiac RMS for our Remote Physiologic Monitoring (RPM), we found that it was  challenging to keep track of patients who needed close monitoring between office visits due to  medication adherence, chronic conditions, or recent hospitalizations. We had manual processes in  place, but with varying outcomes for patients and increased staffing time.

Implementation of RPM services with Cardiac RMS was very efficient as they were reliable and  prepared. Now that our office is providing RPM services, we have a scalable process to help patients become more compliant with their medications, feel connected to their care team, and receive  interventions when necessary. Through partnership with Cardiac RMS, we are providing additional  services to our patients without additional burden on our staff.

As we are growing this service, Cardiac RMS has been active in helping us identify and enroll patients  that benefit from RPM care.

I enthusiastically recommend Cardiac RMS RPM services as an effective and caring way to remotely  follow this vulnerable patient population.

Cardiac RMS is devoted to one overarching organizational tenant: ‘Focus on One Patient/One Remote at a Time’. We employ a staff adroit in their abilities that work seamlessly as a cohesive unit to maximize outcome success and consistently demonstrate the benefit of remote monitoring for clients and patients alike.

Our Patient Care Specialists (PCS) are identified as International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certified cardiac device specialists and perform comprehensive detailed evaluations of remote transmissions for each and every vender.  Time delays can be problematic; thus our team is resolute with regard to efficient and prompt accurate reporting.

Each PCS member is also a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS), Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS), or IBHRE Testamur. Moreover, each PCS has a minimum of five years of experience in cardiac device management.

I am honored and privileged to lead this roster of diverse and highly skilled trained experts. The best is yet to come, as we continue to strive for excellence each and every day in the Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Device remote monitoring and virtual care management domain.

We had a patient whose weight readings were no longer coming through. I asked her to move the scale to a different location as it may not have been getting signal.  She moved the scale and the readings have been coming through again!

I was also given feedback from a 92 year old patient who was a new enrollment. She was initially concerned when she opened her packages, one BP monitor, and the other a weight scale.  She said, “I really don’t want anything to complicate my life.”  I gave her our standard instructions on how to use the monitor, I also suggested she review the manual that comes with it.  She was a little hesitant but said, “OK, and if I have problems, I’ll take this to my next Dr. appointment and have them show me how to use it.”  Fast forward about a week later, I get a voicemail over the weekend from this patient asking if we received her readings.  Sure enough, we did!  I called the patient back to confirm we have received BOTH readings.  She said, “Wow, this is great, it’s not complicated at all, it’s much easier than I thought it would be. I really don’t have to do much.”  I said, “You just take your readings and go about your day!” She replied, “Yes! This is great!” and I could hear the satisfaction in her voice.

I have a patient from a CA clinic who recently expressed her happiness with our service. I helped her connect to the cardiologist, and she was seen the same day before the weekend. She was distraught that the weekend was coming, and she would end up in the ER. I’ve built a rapport with her and she’s more willing to take her blood pressure now, which has improved a lot lately.

I’ve had a handful of patients tell me how much they appreciate me being there for them and checking in on them. I had patients in our NY clinic who lived by themselves and drastically changed their health habits to improve their BP. They thanked me for holding them accountable and being there because being alone and dealing with these issues is complicated.

I’ve also had a newer patient in New Jersey who opened up and tell me that I am her family. She’s always expecting my calls and enjoys talking to me, and she’s been able to make changes in her life, too.
